After a splendid performance in the recently concluded quadrangular series in the Netherlands, Thailand Women are on an all-time high with their improved cricketing skills and temperament. The Thailand women are going from strength to strength as they head towards the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Scotland at the end of the month.
The Thai team recently recorded their 17th consecutive victory in official women’s T20 internationals and eclipsed the previous world record of 16 straight triumphs set by the Southern Stars. Although their winning streak suffered a halt due to a last-ball lose to Scotland but thumping wins over Ireland and the Netherlands in the next two matches ensured that they are back to winning ways.
Earlier the Thai women’s team was awarded the ICC Associate team of the year for 2018. After playing some superb cricket of late, the team is hoping to play the World Cup for the very first time by securing a place in the finals of upcoming qualifiers.
