Windies skipper Stafanie Taylor is now back to the squad for a pre-World Cup camp after recovering from a knee injury.
The 28-year-old Jamaican will lead 21 players selected for training ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia. Chinelle Henry, Natasha McLean, and Chedean Nation are the other Jamaicans in the squad.
Deandra Dottin is also back, fulfilling the role of an all-rounder. Dottin was out of the team due to her shoulder injury. The rest of the squad reads includes Shamilia Connell, Hayley Matthews, Aaliyah Alleyne, Shakera Selman, Sheneta Grimmond, Kaysia Schultz, Shabika Gajnabi, Cherry-Ann Fraser, Shemaine Campbell, Shawnisha Hector, Anisa Mohammed, Lee-Ann Kirby, Karishma Ramharack, Caneisha Issac, Britney Cooper and Afy Fletcher.
The Women’s T20 World Cup is set to kick start from the 21st of February this year in Australia. West Indies won the T20 title in 2016 but lost at the semi-final stage in 2018 in the Caribbean. The camp is set to run from January 6-25.
