We are fit, excited and ready for the T20 World Cup says the Women in Blue

Four players of the Indian Women’s Cricket team have expressed that they are ready and confident for the T20 World cup and have shared their excitement. Shafali Verma, Harleen Deol, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, and Shikha Pandey also talked about the emphasis on their fitness to stay strong in all the games.

‘’Fitness will be one of the key aspects of the T20 World cup. The Indian team recognizes this and we have paid a lot of attention to fitness and nutrition in our preparations for the World Cup’’ said Gayakwad who is associated with ‘Fast & Up’, a sports and active nutrition brand.

‘’We have a good team of experienced and young players who will give it all to ensure we make it to the top. We will be taking it one match at a time,” added Gayakwad.

Shikha Pandey is a right-arm medium pacer and a consistent veteran for the women in blue, she believes that winning the World Cup will be a game-changer for Women’s cricket.

Teen sensation, 16-year-old Shafali Verma who has been in limelight since her debut has expressed, ‘’I am actually excited to play the T20 World cup. The team is backed by good experience and we are well prepared for the challenge.”

Indian all-rounder Harleen Deol credited the efficient nutrition and fitness for their success till now. ‘’It has always been a dream to lift the World cup but making dream come true is never easy. The entire team has worked really hard over the last few months preparing for the World cup, fitness has been one of the key aspects of our preparation as well as nutrition,’’ said Harleen.

India played their World Cup opener against Australia today and won it by 17 Runs.
