The right-hand bat was uncapped when her inclusion was announced in the World Cup squad. She subsequently made her debut against Australia in the tri-series held in January. The third of India’s terrific teenagers, the 16-year-old is the only extra batter in the squad. Her inclusion has come on the back of a promising batting display in the middle order in the domestic Challenger Trophy where she played for India B under Mandhana. She is also known to keep wickets and bowl medium-pace.
