Summary: Match 3 – Sabbhineni Meghana and Shivali Shinde propel India B to victory against Bangladesh

Day 2 of the T20 Quadrangular series being played in Patna saw team India B beat Bangladesh by 14 runs and underdogs Thailand scripting a breather victory over India A by 9 runs.

In the first match of the day opener, Sabbineni Meghana turned out to be the architect of India B’s victory. She top-scored with a half-century laced with six 4s and one 6. While Yastika Bhatia perished to Salma Khatun early on, Meghana stitched a vital partnership with wicketkeeper batter Shivali Shinde adding 73 runs for the 2nd wicket.

In the Bangladesh innings, India B were off to flying start when their captain Sneh Rana got rid of opener Murshida Khatun for a duck and Simran Dil Bahadur picked up Ayasha Rahman in the very next over. Sanjida Islam and wicketkeeper batswoman Niger Sultana Joty anchored the innings and added 48 runs for the third wicket. The latter got stumped to a ball by Tanusree Sarkar and the Bangladesh innings tumbled like a pack of cards. Bangladesh lost the match by 14 runs.
