Nepal women’s cricket team has announced its 14-member squad for the upcoming Women’s Day Cup 2025, set to commence on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day. The tournament, which will be hosted in Uganda features Nepal, Uganda, Hong Kong, and Namibia, promising an exciting contest among emerging women’s cricket teams.

Leading the Nepalese squad is 27-year-old all-rounder Indu Barma, who brings both experience and consistency. Supporting her at the top of the order is the 25-year-old opening batter Samjhana Khadka.
The middle order is strengthened by young talent Puja Mahato and Bindu Rawal, while the squad also includes two wicketkeeper-batters, Roma Thapa and Alisha Kumari Yadav, both of whom bring depth to the batting lineup.
The squad comprises a mix of specialized batters, all-rounders, and bowlers. Mamta Choudhary, a 26-year-old right-handed batter and right-arm medium pacer, and Rajmati Airee, a 22-year-old left-handed batter and left-arm medium pacer, add strength to both departments. Left-arm medium pacer Ishwari Bishta will play a key role in the bowling attack. The team also features seasoned all-rounders Kabita Joshi and Rubina Chhetri, who bring versatility with both bat and ball.
A key highlight of the squad is the inclusion of young talents, showcasing Nepal’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of cricketers. Among them is 16-year-old Riya Sharma, a right-handed batter and leg-break bowler, alongside 18-year-old right-handed batter Sana Parveen. The squad also includes 17-year-old Rachana Choudhary, a right-handed batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler, adding variety to the spin attack.
