Salma Khatun:
The right arm off spinner of Bangladesh picked up 2-23 in her 10 overs, including three maidens against West Indies in the last match. Apart from her brilliant bowling, she made useful contributions with the bat in the middle order scoring 23 runs off 40 balls.
Nahida Akter:
The left arm spinner of Bangladesh scalped 2-23 in her 10 overs, including three maidens against West Indies. She bowled well in the middle overs. Later in the day, she chipped in with an unbeaten 25 runs off 64 balls with the bat lower down the order.
Mithali Raj:
The captain of the Indian team scored a delectable half-century in her last match against Australia. She top scored with 68 runs off 96 balls. She will be required to shoulder India’s batting responsibility going into the next match.
Pooja Vastrakar:
India’s star all-rounder made useful contributions with both bat and ball. The right arm quick scalped 2-43 in her 10 overs and was the pick of the bowlers against Australia in her last game. With the bat, she muscled 34 runs off 28 balls lower down the order to help India go past the 275-run mark.
Pitch
This will be the seventh match of the 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup that will be played here. Teams batting first have won four matches, while the teams batting second have won two matches here. The wicket is expected to be on a slower side and could assist the spinners. The last match that was played here on March 21 was a rain-curtailed affair. The outfield could be slow due to rain.
