Jhulan Goswami completes 250 ODI Wickets Milestone

Team India Speedster, Jhulan Goswami has been having an excellent world cup so far. The right-arm fast bowler has been making new records match after match. In the previous match against West Indies, Jhulan became the most successful bowler in World Cup history as she took her 40th WC wicket surpassing Lyn Fullston.

In today’s game against England, Goswami took her 250th ODI wicket by dismissing English openers Tammy Beaumont for 1 run. This is a huge milestone as Jhulan became the first bowler to take 250 one-day international wickets. She also became the first bowler to take 350 wickets across 3 formats.

In her 20 year career, Jhulan has picked 44 test wickets from 21 test innings taking 3 five-wicket haul and one ten-wicket haul. In her illustrious ODI career, Jhulan has picked 250 wickets in 199 matches with 7 four-wicket haul and 2 five-wicket haul. In T20s, she has picked 56 wickets in 68 T20 internationals with 5 for 11 bringing her best bowling figures.

As Jhulan will be finishing up her legendary 20-year career at the end of this world cup, she will be regarded as the greatest bowler in Women’s Cricket history. With 5 wickets in this world cup so far, Jhulan will be expecting to finish off her career in style.
