In the 3rd Match of the Canada Super60 Women tournament in Vancouver, the Vancouver Warriors Women delivered a clinical performance to defeat the Vancouver Anchors Women by 8 wickets with 14 balls remaining.

The Anchors took to the crease first, but their innings got off to a rocky start when opener Laura Harris fell for a duck off just two balls, caught and bowled by Sabah Aslam early in the first over at 1/0 (0.2 ov). Phoebe Franklin joined captain Fatima Sana to rebuild the early damage, striking 13 runs off 9 balls—including a boundary and a six—before being stumped by wicketkeeper Sophie Reid off the bowling of Mannat Hundal with the score at 37/2 in the 5th over.
Fatima Sana anchored the rest of the innings with a captain’s effort, smashing a top-score of 49 runs off 31 balls, decorated with 5 fours and 2 sixes. She found support from Anika Kolan, who scored an unbeaten 11 off 13 balls to keep the scoreboard ticking. However, Sabah Aslam returned to break the partnership, dismissing Sana just one run short of her half-century, caught by Achini Perera at 71/3 in the 9th over. Shortly after, Eman Asim was run out for 1 off 2 balls following sharp fielding from Perera and Reid, leaving the Anchors at 73/4. Alexa Stonehouse finished unbeaten on 3 off 3 balls alongside Kolan, as the Anchors closed their 10 overs at 81/4.
The Warriors’ bowling unit performed tightly throughout the first innings. Sabah Aslam stood out as the pick of the bowlers, taking 2 wickets for just 10 runs in her 2 overs. Mannat Hundal gave away only 8 runs in her 2 overs while picking up 1 wicket. Marizanne Kapp (0/13 in 2 overs) and Grace Scrivens (0/15 in 2 overs) kept things economical, while Jess Joseph had a tougher outing, conceding 31 runs in her 2 overs without taking a wicket.
Chasing a target of 82, the Vancouver Warriors Women paced their pursuit smartly from the beginning. Openers Achini Perera and Camy Desai put together a solid opening partnership, bringing the score to 27 before Perera was bowled by Harseerat Kaur for a well-made 17 off 13 balls (hitting 3 fours). Camy Desai contributed 12 runs off 11 balls before retiring out at 44/2 in the 6th over.
With the platform set, Sophie Reid and Marizanne Kapp put on an explosive finishing display. Reid dominated the Anchors’ bowling attack, blasting an unbeaten 37 off just 16 deliveries with 4 boundaries and 2 maxes. Kapp provided lethal support at the other end, scoring a brisk 14 not out off 7 balls, including a four and a six. Together, they comfortably carried the Warriors over the finish line, wrapping up the chase at 82/2 in just 7.4 overs.
On the bowling side for the Vancouver Anchors Women, wickets were hard to come by. Harseerat Kaur was the sole wicket-taker, recording figures of 1/25 in 2 overs. Grace Ballinger opened with a steady 0/12 off 1.4 overs, while Alexa Stonehouse (0/9 in 1 over), Rabbjyot Rajput (0/9 in 1 over), Fatima Sana (0/11 in 1 over), and Sunita Dinakar (0/15 in 1 over) were unable to break the Warriors’ momentum.
