Winning the toss, Thunder opted to bat. For a change, they came up with a different opening combination with Blackwell replacing the skipper Haynes. Sadly, the new combination did not work with Blackwell dismissing early for 9. On the other side Priest scored a slow 31 in 40 balls. All credits to disciplined bowling from Strikers.

In the end, when it looked like Thunder would not cross 100. In came the skipper Haynes to help the team cross 100 mark by scoring an important 31 runs. With the bowl, all the bowlers chipped in with a wicket each for strikers. In the end, Thunder finished at 112 for 4 in 20 overs.

Chasing a target of 113, unlike the Thunders. Strikers had a good start with a partnership of 53 runs for 1st wicket. Skipper Bates after scoring a slow 22 lost her wicket to left-arm spinner Bates. Tahlia McGrath too did not spend much time at the crease by getting dismissed for 8 and the incoming batters Patterson and Winfield too followed her. Sadly for the Thunders, the dangerous Devine was still batting and she single-handedly took the game away from Thunders by scoring an unbeaten half-century including 62 runs with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Though Dar & Co tried their best to defend, the inning from Devine made their efforts go in vain. In the end, Strikers chased the target in 19.1 overs with 6 wickets in hand.

Brief Scores: Thunder 112 for 4 in 20 overs (Haynes 33* & Devine 1 for 21) lost to Strikers 113 for 4 in 19.1 overs ( Devine 62* & Dar 2 for 24) by 6 wickets.
