BBL star Jono Dean to guide team Perry XI featuring teen sensation Phoebe Litchfield

Jono Dean is all set to guide teen sensation Phoebe Litchfield for three matches. 16-year old Phoebe who made headlines while playing for Sydney Thunder in WBBL has been selected in the Perry XI squad. Under 19 teams Perry XI and Lanning XI will play 3 exhibition matches at Phillip Oval, Canberra in November. This series will prepare the young players for the upcoming under 19 tour of South Africa which happens next year.

As reported by Anya Whitelaw of Western Advocate, Jono Dean, the once BBL star has been assigned the role of an assistant coach for the side. He was part of team Adelaide Strikers and had impressed everyone with his big-hitting at the top of the order.

This series will mark Dean’s transition from a player to a coach. After taking part in Australia’s High-Performance Coaching program in May, Dean was selected as team ACT Meteors assistant and high-performance coach. Along with coach Shelley Nitschke, Dean will be guiding the Perry XI in the 3 exhibition matches.
