In a remarkable milestone for Indian women’s cricket, 23-year-old Jemimah Rodrigues marked her 100th T20 International (T20I) appearance during the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka.
The right-handed top-order-batter became the youngest woman to reach 100 T20I appearances at 23 years and 327 days, surpassing her fellow teammate, Smriti Mandhana.

Jemimah’s cricketing journey took off at the tender age of 12 when she made her debut for the under-19 cricket team during the 2012–13 season. Recognized for her talent early on, Rodrigues was selected for the under-19 state cricket team at just 13 years old.
Working her way to the top, Rodrigues made her T20I debut against South Africa in Potchefstroom in 2018. Over her 99 T20I appearances leading up to her 100th, she has amassed a total of 2045 runs, at an average of 30.52 and a strike rate of 113.67. Her highest score of 76 runs came against Sri Lanka in 2022.
The 2024 Asia Cup provided the perfect stage for Rodrigues to reach this personal landmark as the Indian team prepared to face Sri Lanka in the final.
