The twelfth match of the ninth edition of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup was played between Sri Lanka & Thailand. Sri Lanka won their third consecutive match in the group stage after beating Thailand by 10 wickets in a chase of 94. The win ensured the host a semi-final spot who also topped the group stage, resulting in a spot against Pakistan in the semi-finals on 26 July.

1) Nannapat Koncharoenkai 47* (Thailand)
The Thailand opener scored an unbeaten 47 against the Lankan side. The right-handed batter was the top scorer for Thailand with 47 runs of Thailand’s total of 93. She played till the end of the innings helping the Thailand side to put up a fighting total. She smashed five boundaries in her unbeaten score of 47.

2) Kavisha Dilhari 2/13 (Sri Lanka)
The Lankan all-rounder put in yet another stunning display with the ball. She finished with figures of 2 for 13 in four overs. It was the second consecutive match for Kavitha where she grabbed two wickets after claiming as many against Malaysia in the last match. Kavisha was also excellent in fielding, impacting a run-out & taking three catches including one off her bowling.
3) Chamari Athapaththu 1/15 & 49* (35) (Sri Lanka)
Chamari’s all-round contributions helped the Lankan side to register a comfortable 10-wicket victory over Thailand. Initially, she grabbed a wicket with the ball finishing with figures of 1 for 15 (3), dismissing Phannita Maya for 2. With the bat, she was the top scorer for her side with an unbeaten 49, missing out on her well-deserved half-century. She smashed two boundaries & four sixes in her innings. For her all-round contribution, she was awarded the Player of the Match award.
