List of Milestones and Records made during India vs UAE Women

In the ongoing ninth edition of the Women’s Asia Cup. The tournament got underway on 19th July, with the final to be played on 28th July. A total of eight teams are participating, with the teams divided into two groups. In the 5th match of the tournament India posted their highest-ever T20I score as well as the highest-ever score in the T20I Asia Cup. In this article are more such milestones.

The fifth match of the Women’s Asia Cup was played between India and UAE. UAE elected to bowl first, but the decision backfired as India eventually scored a total of 201. UAE capitalized in the first six overs, taking three wickets, but India had crossed 50 runs in the powerplay. It was the Indian skipper alongside wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh who stepped up to the occasion. Harmanpreet Kaur smashed 66 off 47 balls, while Richa Ghosh scored an unbeaten 64, which was also her maiden fifty in the T20I format. UAE couldn’t accelerate throughout the innings and eventually lost the match by 78 runs. Kavisha Egodage was UAE’s top scorer with an unbeaten 40, while Deepti Sharma topped the bowling chart for India with 2 for 23 in four overs. Richa Ghosh was awarded the Player of the Match for her unbeaten 64 off 29 balls, which also included one stumping behind the stumps.
