Harmanpreet Kaur has achieved a significant milestone in her cricket career, becoming the second-highest run-scorer in Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) history.

Surpassing Meg Lanning’s (Australia) tally of 3405 runs from 121 innings, Harmanpreet now ranks just behind New Zealand’s Suzie Bates who has scored the most – 4348 runs from 159 innings – in the shortest format.

Harmanpreet edged past Meg Lanning’s tally during India’s ongoing Asia Cup (T20I) campaign, in the game against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In her latest innings, Harmanpreet scored 66 runs from 47 balls, contributing to India’s total of 201 runs in the fifth match of the tournament, where she reached a total of 3415 runs in 152 innings.
