Bio:

Lauren Bell, a tall and fiery pacer who consistently bowls at high speeds, made her Test debut on 27 June 2022 against South Africa during their home series in Taunton. A month later, on 15 July 2022, she made her ODI debut against South Africa during the same series in Bristol. On 10 September 2022, she played her first T20 International match against India women during their tour of England in Chester-le-Street.

Bell began her sports career as a footballer, playing for Reading FC’s Academy. She switched to cricket to explore a different sport. In 2015, at age 14, she made her women’s County Championship debut for Berkshire. She was then loaned to Middlesex for the T20 Cup. In 2019, Bell played for the England Women’s Academy against Australia A and received her academy contract for the 2019-20 season. In 2023, she was named in the England squad for the Ashes against Australia, marking her first Ashes series as a player.

In 2018, she debuted for the Southern Vipers in the Women’s Cricket Super League. She was the runner-up in the 2019 Women’s Cricket Super League tournament, where they lost to Western Storm. In 2020, she was included in the Vipers squad for the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. In December 2020, Bell was one of 41 women cricketers given a full-time domestic cricket contract. She has since played in different domestic leagues for teams such as Southern Brave Women, Sydney Thunder Women, and UP Warriorz Women.
