Historical highlights – Jersey Women’s National Cricket Team
In 2012, Jersey clinched victory in the European Women’s Cricket Festival held in Utrecht, securing a memorable win against Germany in the final match.
In April 2018, the ICC granted Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members, paving the way for Jersey to compete at the highest level. Since then, all Twenty20 matches involving Jersey and other ICC members have held the full WT20I status.
Jersey’s debut WT20I match took place on 31 May 2019, against Guernsey in the 2019 T20 Inter-Insular Cup at College Field, Saint Peter Port.
Their first WT20I victory came later that year on 1 August 2019, when they defeated Norway by seven wickets during the 2019 France Women’s T20I Quadrangular Series, finishing second in the tournament, behind hosts France.
Trinity Smith became the first ever Jersey player to score a half century on 6 May 2022, leading to a triumphant win at the 2022 France Women’s T20I Quadrangular Series.
In January 2023, Jersey hosted the inaugural 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier division two tournament, finishing third out of six teams, narrowly missing out on advancing to the next stage of qualification.

In the 2023 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Europe Qualifier, Jersey made their maiden appearance in the tournament’s expanded qualification pathway for women’s cricket in Europe. Although they finished third in the second division, winning three out of five matches, they fell just short of advancing to division one.
