Bio:
Tayla Vlaeminck, raised in Bendigo, grew up playing both cricket and soccer. At 15, she almost quit cricket to focus on soccer but was persuaded to continue her cricketing journey.
She made her international debut in October 2018, overcoming a series of severe injuries. Vlaeminck battled back from two knee injuries and a shoulder dislocation to make her mark on the international stage.
In the domestic circuit, as of 2024, she represents Victoria in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL).
In One Day Internationals, Vlaeminck debuted on October 22, 2018, against Pakistan during Australia’s tour of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. In her impressive debut, she picked up one wicket. As of 2024, she has taken over five wickets in ODIs.
In T20 Internationals, she made her debut on November 17, 2018, against India during the 2018 ICC Women’s World T20 at Providence. By 2024, she has taken over 15 wickets in T20Is.
In Tests, she debuted on July 18, 2019, against England during Australia’s tour of England at Taunton. As of 2024, she is yet to take a wicket in Test matches.
In franchise cricket, she plays for the Melbourne Renegades in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) as of 2024.
