Bio:

Coming from a family of cricketers, Alyssa Healy etched her name into the history of international cricket in February 2010.

Healy’s rise to prominence began in late 2006 when she became the first girl to play among boys in the private schools’ competition in New South Wales, drawing press commentary from various sources. Domestically, after playing most of her first two seasons as a specialist batter, Healy took up the wicket keeping gloves full-time for New South Wales during the 2009–10 Women’s National Cricket League season. That season, she made the most dismissals by any wicketkeeper (20) in the Women’s National Cricket League.

As of 2024, Healy has scored 6 centuries across the three formats in the international stage.

In One Day Internationals, Healy made her debut on February 10, 2010, against New Zealand during the Rose Bowl series at Adelaide. Her first century in Australian colours was against India during the 3rd ODI of the Australia tour of India on March 18, 2018, at Vadodara. As of 2024, she has scored over 3000 runs in ODIs.

In T20 Internationals, Healy made her debut on February 21, 2010, against New Zealand during the Rose Bowl series at Hobart. She is considered the most successful wicketkeeper in T20Is, holding the record for most dismissals by a wicketkeeper, with 122 (61 catches and 61 stumpings). As of 2024, she has scored over 2900 runs in T20Is.

In November 2023, Healy was appointed as the full-time captain of the Australia women’s national cricket team across all three formats. Additionally, from the inaugural season, she led the UP Warriorz in the Women’s Premier League.

In the Women’s Big Bash League, as of 2024, Healy holds the record for most dismissals by a wicketkeeper, with 96 (53 catches and 43 stumpings).
