Bio:

Amelia Kerr is a very talented all-rounder from the New Zealand women’s team who made her ODI debut on November 9, 2016, during the home series against Pakistan in Lincoln. She then made her T20 International debut on November 21, 2016, against Pakistan during the same series in Lincoln at the age of 16. Kerr became the youngest female cricketer from New Zealand to debut in T20 Internationals. She also became the youngest representative from the New Zealand women’s team to play in the World Cup and then the youngest female cricketer to bag a central contract with New Zealand Cricket.

Amelia Kerr is a very special player with a unique set of skills to perform on the big stage. Her family has a sporting background, with her mother Jo and father Robbie having played cricket at the domestic level representing Wellington. Her elder sister Jess also represents the New Zealand women’s team. Her grandfather Bruce Murray also represented New Zealand in Test Cricket, and her cousin Cilla Duncan played football at the international level for New Zealand. Thus, she has cricket in her veins from her ancestors. Kerr has registered numerous records at a very young age. She scored an unbeaten 232 runs against Ireland at the age of just 17, becoming the youngest (male or female) to score a double-century across formats in international cricket, and also claimed a five-wicket haul in the same match.
