Bio:

Mai Yanagida is a Japanese player who made her debut in 2019 against Indonesia. She led the Japanese side in her first appearance. In her debut match, she was dismissed after scoring 8 runs and, with the ball, bowled three overs, conceding 23 runs without picking up a wicket. She has represented Japan on 33 occasions, scoring 310 runs at an average of close to 12. She also played for the national team in the 2013 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier.

The Japanese captain has a highest score of 64, which is her only half-century for the side so far, and it came against Vanuatu. Mai also has 11 wickets to her name, with her best bowling figures being 2 for 8.
