Her journey in cricket began to take shape when she made her international debut in December 2023, representing South Africa in a Twenty20 International against Bangladesh. In the domestic arena, Hlubi’s journey started in October 2019 when she debuted for KwaZulu-Natal Coastal against Free State, where she displayed her bowling ability by delivering three overs. However, it was in November 2023 that she truly made her mark, taking an impressive 4/50 from her 10 overs in a match against Free State, demonstrating her ability to perform under pressure and contribute significantly to her team’s success.
Recognizing her talent and potential, Hlubi was selected in the South Africa Under-19 squad for the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in December 2022. Throughout the tournament, she showcased her bowling skills, taking three wickets in four matches. Her performances at the youth level caught the attention of selectors, leading to her inclusion in the South Africa Emerging squad to play Zimbabwe in November 2023. Shortly after, she received her maiden call-up to the senior squad for the series against Bangladesh, where she made an immediate impact by taking 2/15 from her four overs in the third Twenty20 International match, earning the Player of the Match award.
