Known for her skills as a right-hand batter and wicketkeeper, Meso has made significant contributions both domestically and on the international stage. Beginning her journey in domestic cricket, Meso made her debut for Central Gauteng on March 21, 2021, marking the start of what would become a promising career. Her talent was quickly recognized, leading to her selection in the South Africa Under-19 squad for the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in December 2022. Throughout the tournament, she showcased her batting ability, amassing 80 runs at an impressive average of 26.66, including an unbeaten 32 against Bangladesh women’s under-19 team.
In March 2024, she earned a place in the South Africa Emerging team for the 2023 African Games, where she demonstrated her skills behind the stumps, recording five dismissals, the highest by any wicketkeeper in the tournament. Her stellar showing caught the attention of selectors, earning her a maiden call-up to the national team for the T20I series against Sri Lanka later that month and eventually debuted in Women’s Twenty20 International (T20I) on March 30, 2024, and was named in the ODI squad for the series against Sri Lanka in April 2024, further solidifying her place in the national setup.
