Bio:

Her debut for the South African national team in a WODI match against Bangladesh on September 6, 2012, marked the beginning of a remarkable career. She then made her debut in a WT20I match, also against Bangladesh, just a few days later on September 11, 2012.

Fast forward to 2018, and Khaka achieved a significant first – claiming her 50th wicket in Women’s One Day Internationals during a series against Bangladesh. But Khaka’s talents extend beyond WODIs; in 2019, she was drafted into the F van der Merwe XI for the historic inaugural edition of the Women’s T20 Super League in South Africa. This marked her first foray into the world of franchise cricket.

The following year, Khaka continued to break new ground, earning a coveted spot in South Africa’s squad for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia. Khaka’s dedication paid off in 2022, when during a match against the West Indies, she secured her first ever five-wicket haul in WODIs, a feat that left a lasting impression. This achievement was quickly followed by another significant first – claiming her 100th wicket in WODI cricket during South Africa’s opening match of the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.

In May 2022, she made waves in the privately run FairBreak Invitational T20, becoming the first player to achieve a five-wicket haul in the tournament. This dominant performance earned her Player of the Match honors and a well-deserved spot in the Team of the Tournament.
