Zaida James, a talented Saint Lucian cricketer, embarked on her international career in January 2023, representing the West Indies.
In the domestic circuit, she plays for the Windward Islands in the Women’s Super50 Cup and the Twenty20 Blaze tournaments as of 2024.
Zaida made her T20 International debut on January 30, 2023, against India during the South Africa Women’s T20I Tri-Series in East London. By 2024, she had scored over 45 runs and taken one wicket in T20Is.
Her One Day International debut came on June 26, 2023, against Ireland during their tour of the West Indies at Gros Islet. By 2024, she had accumulated over 35 runs and taken more than two wickets in ODIs.
In franchise cricket, Zaida currently plays for the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL). Previously, she played for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the inaugural 2022 WCPL season.
