Samaira Dharnidharka started playing cricket at the age of five and attended The Winchester School, Jebel Ali, Dubai. Dharnidharka made her Women’s Twenty20 International debut at just 11 years old, playing against Thailand on 18 January 2019. At that time, she was the youngest international cricketer, and she remained among the five youngest. At 14 years and 274 days, she became the second youngest bowler in Women’s T20I cricket history to secure a four-wicket haul, following Bangladeshi cricketer Rabeya Khan in 2019.
In 2022, she competed in the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier and the Women’s Asia Cup for the UAE. She represented the UAE in the 2022 Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier as well. In January 2023, she participated in the first-ever ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup held in South Africa. During a warm-up match against the USA U-19 Women’s team, she achieved a remarkable hat-trick, bowling a maiden and taking four wickets in the over.
