Bio:
Murshida Khatun made her mark on the international cricket scene in May 2018. As of 2024, she plays in the domestic circuit for Northern Zone, a team she joined in the 2021/22 season, and for Jamuna. Previously, she represented Sylhet division during the 2017–2017/18 season.
Murshida achieved a significant milestone on March 31, 2023, when she became the first Bangladeshi to score a century in women’s first-class cricket. This historic achievement came while playing for Jamuna in the 2022–23 Bangladesh Women’s Cricket League.
Internationally, she has consistently performed across two formats, accumulating seven half-centuries by 2024.
Murshida made her One Day International debut on May 4, 2018, against South Africa during Bangladesh’s tour of South Africa at Potchefstroom. By 2024, she had scored over 425 runs in ODIs.
Her T20 International debut followed on May 20, 2018, also against South Africa, but this time at Bloemfontein. As of 2024, she had amassed over 775 runs in T20Is, solidifying her reputation as a key player in the shorter format.
