10 cricketers who made it to the National women’s team before 20

Getting appreciation for efforts is what every player needs in the long run of a successful career in sports. The field demands highly experienced players with flawless skills and an extraordinary approach. Everytime you say you put in your best effort, the atmosphere asks for more in a way to push you to excel. It tempts you to set your first ever best with every move you make and with every ball you play. To get recognition for your efforts is quite a lucky thing but to get recognition at an early age is even more rare. So here lets talk about the very few lucky members who made it to the National team before they could actually grow up to their 20th years.

1. Smriti Mandhana, India:
This young opening batsman skilled at the left-hand batting style was at the tender age of 17 years when she got selected into the national team. The now 20-year-old player is also a right arm medium bowler.

2. Lauren Cheatle, Australia:
The 18-year-old cricket player was is just a year old in the team now. She joined the team when she was 17 years old. She is a left-hand batting style player. She is also a left arm fast medium bowler.

3. Ellyse Perry, Australia:
She became the youngest Australian ever to play international cricket when she made her debut in the second ODI of the Rose Bowl series against New Zealand in July 2007, before her 17th birthday, despite never having played a domestic match at the senior level. She is a right-hand batter and a right arm fast medium bowler.

4. Holly Ferling, Australia:
The right hand batter was selected in the team at the age of 19 when she made her ODI debut in February in 2013. The 22-year-old player is also experienced at right arm fast medium bowling. She made four appearances during the 2013 Women’s World Cup. She was the first woman to be named tr Queensland Junior Cricketer of the year.

5. Felicity Leydon-Davis, New Zealand:
She is the youngest player in the team of New Zealand who joined the team at the age of 19. She is currently 22 years old skilled at right-hand battling and a right arm bowling style. She made her T20 debut in the year of 2014 at New Zealand vs West Indies Women at Invercargill in March that year.

6. Hannah Rowe, New Zealand:
The 20-year-old right-hand batter was just at the age of 18 years when she gave her international debut against England women on 26 January in 2015. She is skilled as a right arm medium bowler. She made her T20 debut in July in the same year.

7. Sune Luus, South Africa:
She was as old as 18 years when she joined the South Africa Women’s Squad. The now 20-year-old player has great experience at bowling leg break and she is a right-hand batter.

8. Andrie Steyn, South Africa:
She has played three ODI and five T20 for South Africa until now. The 19-year-old right-hand batter and right arm medium fast bowler was 17 years old during her T20 debut in September and ODI debut in October in the year 2014.

9. Jodie Dibble, England:
The 22-year-old female cricketer has a right-hand batting style and a left arm fast bowling style. She played the England vs West Indies at Sylhet in March 2014 at the age of 19 years.

10. Harshitha, Sri Lanka:
She has only played one T20 match against Ireland in March 2016. At 17 years of age she gave her ODI debut in September 2016. The 18-year-old cricketer is a skilled left-hand batter and right arm slow medium bowler.

They have managed to handle the pressure and performed with unexpected talents. They are like the few spots in a few hundred standing out from the normal. Respect to these young talents. Kudos!!
