India’s dominant 3-0 ODI whitewash of Zimbabwe has left a clear imprint on the latest ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings, with 20-year-old left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma’s remarkable 53-place surge to 94th headlining the update.

Having already swept the three-match T20I series, Smriti Mandhana-led India completed a historic maiden white-ball bilateral sweep by winning the ODI leg 3-0 from 16 to 28 October, with the series finale in Vadodara producing a memorable all-round statement. Vaishnavi’s maiden ODI five-wicket haul, Pratika Rawal’s consistency and Shafali Verma’s explosiveness ensured India’s depth was reflected across the batting, bowling and all-rounder charts.
Batting Rankings:
Pratika Rawal continued her upward trajectory, rising three places to 18th after registering her third consecutive half-century of the series. Her unbeaten 59 in the final ODI anchored India’s eight-wicket chase after Zimbabwe were dismissed for 131, underlining the opener’s growing reliability at the top of the order.
Shafali Verma also made significant progress, climbing eight places to joint 65th following her attacking 51 in the series finale. Coming in an unbroken 74-run 2nd-wicket stand with Rawal, Shafali’s 51 not out from just 26 balls, including 6 boundaries and three maximums at a strike rate of 196.15, accelerated India’s chase and reinforced her value as a game-changing top-order presence.
Zimbabwe’s batters were rewarded too. Opener Modester Mupachikwa moved up three places to 36th after her 37 in Vadodara, while captain Josephine Nkomo climbed two spots to 49th, offering the visitors some consolation from a difficult tour.
Bowling Rankings:
The biggest mover was unquestionably Vaishnavi Sharma. After taking four wickets in the second ODI, the 20-year-old produced a career-best 5/39 in the third match, only her third ODI appearance, to bowl Zimbabwe out for 131 and claim the Player-of-the-Match award. Her nine wickets across the final two games propelled her 53 places to 94th in the bowling rankings.
Sayali Satghare’s disciplined new-ball spell also earned recognition. Her figures of 2/11 from six overs, including 30 dot balls, helped her rise 18 places to 85th, while Kranti Gaud moved up one position to 24th after taking two wickets in the final ODI. For Zimbabwe, Nomvelo Sibanda gained two places to 60th. She made an immediate impact in the finale by dismissing Yastika Bhatia with the first ball of India’s innings, a moment that briefly gave the visitors hope before India’s chase took control.
All-rounder Rankings:
Kranti Gaud was India’s leading gainer among the all-rounders, climbing five places to joint 28th on 127 rating points. She now sits level with the West Indies’ Aaliyah Alleyne and Ireland’s Laura Delany, reflecting her increasing influence in the setup. Pratika Rawal advanced one place to joint 70th on 69 points, alongside New Zealand’s Bree Illing, after her productive series with the bat. Shafali Verma also rose 10 places to 96th on 54 points, with her rapid half-century and contributions across the series strengthening her all-round credentials.
India will now turn their attention to an all-format tour of South Africa from 9 to 30 December 2026, featuring a one-off Test, three ODIs and three T20Is. They will then host the inaugural ICC Women’s T20 Champions Trophy, a six-team round-robin tournament, from 14 to 28 February 2027.
