England cricketer Emma Lamb has celebrated a special moment in her personal life by marrying her partner, Luke. The couple got married on 17 October 2026, marking a new chapter in their relationship. Their journey together had appeared on social media several years before the wedding. On 2 January 2022, Lamb shared a birthday post for Luke on her public Instagram account and referred to him as her fiancé. More than four years after that post, they have now taken the next step together. Wedding photographs shared by Lamb on social media show her in a white gown, holding a bouquet beside Luke at Eaves Hall. The occasion marked an important personal milestone for the England cricketer.

From Lancashire to the England Team
Lamb’s cricket journey started in Lancashire’s age-group system. She made her senior County Championship debut in 2012 and scored her maiden century the following year. A right-handed opening batter, she initially bowled medium pace before changing to off-spin. In 2014, aged 16, she followed her older brother Danny into Lancashire’s men’s academy programme, becoming only the second woman to join it. She later earned a place in the England Academy and impressed during a 2016 tri-series involving Sri Lanka A and Australia’s Shooting Stars.
In July 2021, Emma Lamb delivered an impressive performance for Thunder in the Charlotte Edwards Cup. She scored 111 runs from 62 balls and also took three wickets for 16 runs. In September that year, she received her first England call-up as a replacement for Maia Bouchier and Charlie Dean. Both players were ruled out of the first T20I against New Zealand due to Covid-19 precautions, but Lamb did not face a ball in the match. She made her ODI debut during the 2022 Ashes, scoring a second-ball duck in her only appearance of that tour.
The summer of 2022 brought better results for Lamb in international cricket. She scored 38 in her only Test innings against South Africa before making 102, 67 and 65 in the ODIs that followed. However, her chances to represent England became limited over the next two years. She played only five matches for the national side across 2023 and 2024, including the home Ashes Test. Lamb returned to the ODI squad after scoring consistently in the 2025 domestic one-day competition. With Heather Knight injured, she batted at No. 3 and scored half-centuries against West Indies and India.
A Successful Season for Lamb and Lancashire
The 2025 season proved highly successful for Lamb and Lancashire. She scored more than 1,100 runs across domestic one-day and T20 competitions, helping Lancashire win both the Vitality T20 County Cup and the Metro Bank One-Day Cup. Her total across all cricket that year reached 1,330 runs at an average of 60.45. Fellow players voted her the PCA Women’s Player of the Year. She also won Lancashire’s Women’s Player of the Year and One-Day Cup Player of the Year awards. Her earlier honours included Thunder Player of the Year and T20 Player of the Year in 2022, along with Lancashire Junior Player of the Year in 2012 and 2015. Her highest score in domestic T20 cricket is 119 not out. In 2015, she became the first woman to play in the Cheshire County Premier League, representing Bramhall alongside Danny.
Celebrating Personal Milestones in England Cricket
Lamb’s wedding also connects with personal milestones celebrated by other England women’s cricketers. Nat Sciver-Brunt and Katherine Sciver-Brunt married on 29 May 2022 and welcomed their son, Theodore, known as Theo, in March 2025. Danni Wyatt-Hodge married Georgie Hodge on 10 June 2024, and their daughter, Daisy James Wyatt-Hodge, was born on 20 May 2026. Amy Jones married Australian domestic bowler Piepa Cleary on 4 April 2026. Lauren Winfield-Hill married Courtney Hill in March 2020, while Lynsey Askew married former Australia captain Alex Blackwell on 3 September 2015.
As Lamb and Luke begin married life, the wedding marks a personal milestone for the England cricketer. Her journey has included years of development in Lancashire, opportunities to represent England and major domestic achievements. From joining Lancashire’s academy as a teenager to receiving recognition for her performances in 2025, Lamb has built her career through consistent work on the field. Her marriage adds a new chapter to her life beyond cricket.
