England International Jodi Grewcock Extends Essex Women Contract Until 2028

England international Jodi Grewcock has signed a contract extension with Essex Women that will keep her at the club until the end of the 2028 season. The 21-year-old all-rounder has been a key member of the side with both bat and ball since its professional introduction last year. Her performances for Essex have seen her called up to represent England. The new deal keeps her at Essex as she continues her career.

Grewcock has represented Essex in 19 List A matches, scoring nearly 700 runs at an average of 47, while taking nine wickets. In T20 cricket, she has scored 375 runs at an average of 42 and claimed seven wickets from 16 appearances. These performances show her value to Essex since the professional setup was introduced last year. She has contributed with both bat and ball across the two formats.

The 21-year-old made her England debut in an ODI against New Zealand in May and has been named in the squad to face Ireland in September. Her performances for Essex helped her earn the chance to play international cricket. Grewcock will now continue to develop at the highest level while remaining with Essex. Her England call-up follows a strong period of domestic cricket with the county side.

In this year’s edition of The Hundred, Grewcock featured for Southern Brave, having represented Trent Rockets last year. Her appearances in the competition have come alongside her domestic cricket with Essex. She has gained experience in The Hundred while continuing to play an important role for her county side. Her move to Southern Brave this season followed her time with Trent Rockets last year.

The new contract will keep her at Essex Women until the end of the 2028 season.
