The experienced all-rounder was named Women’s Cricketer of the Year 2025, Women’s ODI All-rounder of the Year 2025, and Women’s T20I All-rounder of the Year 2025. Winning all three major awards highlighted the impact she made across both white-ball formats during the calendar year. It was another well-deserved recognition for one of the finest players in the history of Sri Lankan women’s cricket.
Athapaththu enjoyed another busy year leading Sri Lanka in international cricket and continued to play a key role with both bat and ball. Whether opening the batting or contributing with her left-arm spin, she remained the team’s biggest match-winner.
