West Indies skipper Stafanie Taylor has reached number spot in the ICC ODI batting rankings. She has collected 747 points and overtakes the Aussie pair Alyssa Healy (736) and Ellyse Perry (734). Also, Taylor is the only West Indian woman in the Top 10 of the batting rankings.
The next best West Indies Women in the rankings include Deandra Dottin, she is placed on number 30 despite being out for several months as she was in rehabilitation after her surgery. After Dottin, it’s Hayley Matthews who is ranked 32nd.
Taylor has also marked her place in the all-rounder rankings, taking the 2nd spot. Here she is lead by Australian Superstar Perry with 519 points. Taylor holds 410 ranking points. Matthews and Dottin are 17th and 18th, respectively. She is ranked 19th in the ODI bowler rankings.
Whereas in T20 rankings, Taylor is ranked 8th. Table topper for the T20’s is New Zealand’s, Suzie Bates. Another West Indian Deandra Dottin finds herself on the 15th number on the list. Amongst the bowlers, Aly Fletcher is ranked on the 8th spot. Hayley is the best Windies all-rounder as she is ranked on 3rd number in the list, while Taylor holds the 7th spot.
As an international cricket playing nation, West Indies hold the 6th and 5th spot in ODI’s and T20’s respectively.
