Earlier, UAE Women were asked to bat first after Thailand Women won the toss and elected to field. The UAE innings began with captain Esha Oza providing stability at the top. Oza scored a valuable 31 runs from 37 deliveries, including four boundaries, but Thailand’s bowlers kept applying pressure by picking wickets at regular intervals. The UAE skipper tried to anchor the innings, but the lack of a big partnership restricted their scoring momentum.

The opening phase saw Theertha Satish contribute 18 runs from 20 balls, combining with Esha Oza to add crucial runs before being dismissed by Onnicha Kamchomphu. Heena Hotchandani then attempted to rebuild the innings with a 24-run knock from 32 balls, but Thailand continued to strike at important moments. Hotchandani was involved in a 27-run stand with Oza before being run out, leaving UAE searching for acceleration in the final overs.

Samaira Dharnidharka added 11 runs from 18 deliveries, while Rithika Rajith, Lavanya Keny, Mehul Kulkarni, Katie Thompson, Vaishnave Mahesh, Athige Silva, and Suraksha Kotte struggled to convert starts into substantial scores. UAE Women eventually finished their 20 overs at 95/9, with extras contributing six runs. The innings featured several missed opportunities as Thailand’s bowling attack maintained consistent pressure throughout.

Chantham played a controlled innings of 23 runs from 25 balls before being dismissed by Esha Oza, while Phannita Maya contributed 11 runs from 12 deliveries. Thailand lost another wicket when Maya was removed, but the middle order ensured there was no panic.

Nannapat Koncharoenkai played the match-winning innings for Thailand Women, remaining unbeaten on 36 runs from 32 balls. Her innings included two boundaries and came at a crucial stage when the team needed someone to guide the chase. She built important partnerships with Naruemol Chaiwai and Chandida Sutthiruang, keeping the scoreboard moving. Chaiwai scored 13 runs from 23 balls before falling to Oza, while Sutthiruang added one run before becoming the fourth Thailand wicket to fall.

The final push came through Nannapat Koncharoenkai and Aphisa Souwanchonrathi, who remained unbeaten on 9 runs from 12 balls. Their partnership calmly took Thailand across the finish line as they reached 96/4 in 18.1 overs. Koncharoenkai’s match-winning knock earned her the Player of the Match award for guiding Thailand Women to a well-earned victory.

UAE Women’s bowlers also put up a competitive effort despite defending a small total. Esha Oza impressed with the ball, taking 1 wicket for 12 runs in 2.1 overs, while Katie Thompson claimed 1 wicket for 20 runs from her four overs. Suraksha Kotte, Heena Hotchandani, Vaishnave Mahesh, and Samaira Dharnidharka all contributed with economical spells, but the target was too low to defend against Thailand’s controlled chase.
