West Zone, led by skipper Radha Yadav, were up against North Zone, led by skipper Shweta Sehrawat, in the final of the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal Multi-day Trophy at Siechem Stadium, Puducherry, from 1st to 4th April 2026.

Skipper Radha Yadav won the toss and elected to bat first. The openers, Vrushali Bhagat (85 off 210 balls) and Humairaa Kaazi (32 off 39 balls), gave them a solid 50-run opening stand to get them off to a solid start. Tejaswini Batwal departed early. However, Vrushali Bhagat (85 off 210 balls) and Tejal Hasabnis recalibrated and stitched together a 67-run partnership for the 3rd wicket.
Skipper Radha Yadav joined P Khemnar (52 off 92 balls) at the crease with her side in trouble at 179/5 in the 71st over of the innings. She stitched handy partnerships of 69-run partnership for the 6th wicket, followed by a 54-run stand alongside A Patil for the 7th wicket, and a 34-run stand for the 8th wicket took them past the 330-run mark. West Zone were eventually bundled out for 359 in the 148th over of the innings. Skipper Radha Yadav stayed unbeaten on 94* (245 balls), with her knock including 9 boundaries.
Soni Yadav (26.3-4-53-3), Preeti R Bose (52-15-125-3), and Sushmita Kumari (34-8-78-2) were the top performers with the ball for North Zone. The North Zone batters with Sushma Verma and Ayushi Soni at the forefront. Sushma Verma delivered a clutch statement knock with a double century (237 off 498 balls), stitching a massive 231-run partnership for the 2nd wicket alongside her partner Ayushi Soni (109 off 254 balls), who also smashed a composed century. Ayushi Soni’s knock included 14 boundaries.
Sushma Verma found a composed partners in Priya Punia for a 68-run partnership for the 3rd wicket, followed by an 82-run stand for the 4th wicket alongside skipper Shweta Sehrawat (25 off 136 balls), which took them into the lead as they breached the 400-run mark. Sushma Verma smashed 30 boundaries and four maximums. North Zone were bundled out for 484 in 201.3 overs. Mannat Kashyap (39 off 100 balls) and Soni Yadav (17 off 30 balls) chipped in with handy contributions with the bat for their side. North Zone took a 125-run lead.
Saima Thakor stood out with the ball (32.3-9-72-5) for West Zone, Krutikaben (46-16-90-2), A Patil (32-8-81-1), Sayali Satghare (25-8-56-1), and skipper Radha Yadav (39-9-88-1) were impressed with the ball for West Zone. West Zone, in their 2nd stint, shut shop, scoring just 7 runs in 9 overs. The Shweta Sehrawat-led North Zone were crowned as the champions of the Senior Women’s Inter-zonal Multi-day Trophy.
Sushma Verma was named the Player of the Match for her match-defining double century. West Zone skipper Radha Yadav was named the Player of the Series. Radha Yadav ended as the leading run-scorer for her side and the 2nd highest run-scorer of the tournament with 224 runs at a strike rate of 53.20 and an average of 112 in four innings, including one half-century and a century in three matches with the bat for her side in the tournament. She also picked up 12 wickets at an average of 15.16 and an economy of 1.98 in four innings, including a five-wicket haul in three matches, ending as the leading wicket-taker for her side and the 2nd highest wicket-taker of the series.
