The 30-year-old walked out at number 5 in the first innings, anchoring the innings with a composed 40 off 40 balls, featuring 3 boundaries and a maximum, to propel the White Ferns to 303/6 in their 50 overs. New Zealand then dismantled the visitors for 103 in the 28th over of the run chase to seal the game by 200 runs, clinching a commanding 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series under skipper Amelia Kerr, against Nomvelo Sibanda’s Zimbabwe.

Halliday’s poise under the milestone pressure capped a series where she reigned as the leading run-scorer with 204 runs across three innings, including a century, one of three matches where she wielded the bat for her side. This ODI triumph followed New Zealand’s dominance in the preceding three-match T20I series, whitewashing Zimbabwe 3-0 from 25th February to 11th March 2026.

Her standout series moment came in the 1st ODI on 5th March 2026, also at University Oval, where Halliday unleashed a sensational unbeaten 157* off 118 balls at number 4. Peppered with 24 boundaries and a maximum, her knock powered New Zealand to 354/3, paving the way for a 180-run victory. That Player of the Match masterclass underscored her evolution from promising talent to a linchpin of her side.

Brooke Halliday’s international odyssey began with an ODI debut against England at Christchurch on 23rd February 2021. In 50 ODIs since, she has amassed 1,301 runs in 44 innings at an average of 33.35 and a strike rate of 78.89, boasting 8 half-centuries, a century, and a best of 157*. With the ball, her spin bowling has snared 8 wickets in 18 innings at an average of 36.12 and economy of 5.55, a true all-round artistry.

Her T20I chapter kicked off against England at Wellington on 3rd March 2021. Across 37 innings, she has scored 442 runs at a strike rate of 97.35 and an average of 14.25, highlighted by a career-best 46*. Complementing this, 8 wickets in 12 innings come at an economy of 6.77 and average of 14.12, proving her versatility in the shortest format.

At 30, Halliday’s 100th cap isn’t just a number; it’s a testament to resilience, reinvention, and relentless impact. As New Zealand eyes future battles, her blend of grit and flair promises more chapters in White Ferns folklore.
