An All-round effort from Devine and Kerr leads to an easy win for Wellington Blaze over Central Hinds by a margin of 49 runs at Pukekura Park on Friday.
Winning the toss, Wellington opted to bat on a good batting track with a very short boundary on the square.
Openers Priest and Burns were off to a positive start with a partnership of 27 runs for the first wicket. Burns after scoring a decent knock of 17 was dismissed by Green.
The incoming batter Green too was positive from ball number 1, she along with the priest added a partnership of 47. Priest scored 38 and Green 31 played decent knocks.
With their dismissal in came, the two Kiwis Allrounders Devine and Kerr with their hard-hitting batting helped Blaze to end on 170 marks in 20 overs.
The Hinds bowlers had a tough time on the day with not much purchase from the pitch and short boundaries
Chasing the target of 171, Hinds did not have the great of the starts as the top order collapsed early with 5 for 55 by the end of 8 overs.
All credits to the bowlers of Blaze who were bang on hitting the right line and length. Except for Rowe, no other batter crossed 20 runs. With the ball, it was J Kerr and A Kerr with 4 and 2 wickets helped Blaze to win by 49 runs as the Hinds were all out for just 120 runs in 19.1 overs
