The iconic hill at the Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) Ground will be renamed “Healy Hill” in tribute to Alyssa Healy ahead of the Test between Australia and India, to be played in Perth from March 6–9. The gesture will honour Alyssa Healy’s final international match for Australia and celebrate a career that has reshaped women’s cricket across all formats.

The initiative, presented by Westpac, will see the hill open to all fans across every day of the Test match. Cricket Australia and Westpac have committed to creating a packed, festival-like atmosphere on the hill as supporters gather to recognise Healy’s contribution to the sport during what is expected to be an emotional farewell series.
Healy has played 295 international matches for Australia across Tests, ODIs and T20Is. In that time, she has scored over 8,000 international runs, including 8 centuries, while also redefining the role of the wicketkeeper-batter with her aggressive approach at the top of the order. She has been part of seven World Cup-winning campaigns, lifting one ODI World Cup and six T20 World Cups, and has captained Australia in all three formats.
The timing of the announcement is symbolic, coming exactly one month before the Test match and just ahead of the multi-format series against India, which begins with limited overs matches in Sydney on February 15. The series will conclude in Perth with a red-ball contest that carries both competitive and historic significance.
Cricket Australia Executive General Manager of Events & Operations Joel Morrison said the series and the tribute reflected Healy’s stature within the game. “The upcoming NRMA Insurance multi-format series against India will be a fantastic contest between two powerhouse teams in cricket, and we’re looking forward to celebrating captain Alyssa Healy as she plays her final matches for Australia across the ODIs and Test match.”
The Perth Test will also mark a major milestone for the venue. It will be the first official match played at the WACA Ground following the completion of its redevelopment and the first day-night Test ever staged at the ground. Australia and India will be the first teams to take the field at the upgraded venue, adding further significance to the occasion.
Morrison said the naming of the hill was designed to blend tradition with celebration, allowing fans to engage with the Test in a uniquely Australian way. “In Perth, the addition of the Healy Hill, presented by Westpac, will give fans an opportunity to enjoy the fun atmosphere of a day-night Test in one of cricket’s great traditions: watching the game from the hill.”
He added that Cricket Australia was eager to see the redeveloped ground come to life with supporters in attendance across the match. “We’re looking forward to playing the first official game at the venue following its completed redevelopment and seeing the hill full of fans.”
The redeveloped WACA Ground will open to the public from Sunday, March 1, 2026, setting the stage for a farewell that blends legacy, innovation and history as Alyssa Healy takes the field for one final Test in Australian colours.
