Harmanpreet Kaur captured the mood of one champion to another perfectly with her message, as she wished Team India success. Coming from a leader who recently lifted the ODI World Cup, her words felt genuine and full of belief.

Smriti Mandhana kept things simple and grounded, urging the men to play without pressure. “Wishing the best for the Indian team. Looking really good. We all are looking forward to another cup, but no pressure and hopefully we can play some good cricket,” she said. She asked them to enjoy their cricket, reminding everyone that freedom and confidence often bring the best results.

Deepti Sharma also shared her excitement, pointing out how special the tournament will be as it is being held at home. “Wishing all the very best. This is going to be held in India, and it will be very special. Go get the cup home,” she said, capturing the emotions of millions of Indian fans. Her message was clear, embrace the moment and bring the trophy back.

Harmanpreet summed up the collective belief with a confident note, saying, “Play with full of your heart, enjoy and we all know you’re gonna win this and wishing all the luck.”

These messages carry extra meaning because the women’s team themselves created history not long ago. On 2nd November 2025, India lifted their maiden Women’s ODI World Cup, winning the title on home soil in front of roaring crowds. It was a landmark moment for Indian cricket, and a dream come true for players and fans alike.

Leading the side was Haramnpreet Kaur, who etched her name into the history books by becoming only the third Indian captain, after Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni, to win an ODI World Cup. Now, as world champions, the women are cheering from the sidelines as the men prepare for the T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 7th February to 8th March.

India entered the tournament as defending champions, having won the title in 2024, and will be keen to repeat that success on home ground. Their journey begins on 7th February against the United States of America at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

With leaders, match winners, and champions backing them, the Men in Blue step into the tournament carrying hope, pride, and the belief of an entire cricketing nation.
