Rabeya Khan of Bangladesh scalped 4 wickets as the Nepal team was dismissed on 50. Later on, Bangladesh openers chased down the target to achieve their second victory of the tournament.

Bangladesh thrashed Nepal to get their second win in the South Asian Games 2019 T20 cricket competition. After winning over Sri Lanka a day ago, Bangladesh women defeated Nepal Women by 10 wickets.

On winning the toss, Bangladesh Women opted to field first. Nepal didn’t have a good start as Jahanara Alam of Bangladesh removed both the openers cheaply. Sonu Khadka 12(19) and Indu Barma 10(20) added few runs before getting dismissed by Fahima Khatun and Salma Khatun respectively. Captain Rubina Chhetry Belbashi could score only 13 runs in 29 balls before becoming the first victim of Rabeya Khan who went on to take 3 more wickets. The 4-wicket haul of Khan helped Bangladesh build pressure on Nepal not giving them easy runs. Apsari Begum was the last wicket to fall. She added 5 runs to the total before getting stumped by Shamima Sultana off Nahida Akter’s bowling. Nepal were all-out on 50 in the last over of the innings.

It was an easy chase for Bangladesh in the second innings. Openers Murshida Khatun 23(24) and Ayasha Rahman 26(22) remained not out to chase the target within 8 overs. Bangladesh won the match by 10 wickets.

Nepal Women: 50 all-out in 19.2 overs
