Dillisara Dharmala and Sarita Ghimire Set Up Nepal’s Commanding 10-Wicket Win Over the United States

It also marks the last scheduled fixture of the matches in India in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup. A shoulder injury suffered against India kept Nepal’s regular skipper on the sidelines.

Nepal has been one of the most impressive and competitive sides in the tournament so far. They’ve registered impressive victories against Sri Lanka (by 9 wickets), stunning Australia by 8 wickets, and even in their clash against India, they displayed a solid and encouraging performance, especially in the top order.

The USA, on the other hand, have shown a lot of promise, but hasn’t been able to convert it into consistent performances. As a result, they find themselves in a position searching for their first win of the tournament. India (by 10 wickets), Pakistan (by 211 runs) and Nepal (by 8 wickets) in a triple header on 15th November 2025.

The USA batting unit failed horribly to get off the hook as skipper Abey won the toss and decided to put the runs on the board. An exceptional bowling performance, led by Dillisara Dhamala (4-1-10-3) and Sarita Ghimire (4-2-4-1), broke the back of the USA batting department. None of the USA batters entered the double digits. As a result, the USA innings folded on 17, inside the first 10 overs of the innings.

Nepal opener Dillisara Dhamala (12* off 5 balls) single-handedly guided her side over the line in just a matter of four deliveries. Skipper Gita Poudel had the best seat in the house at the non-striker’s end, watching a special cameo unfold. As a result, Nepal registered their 2nd consecutive victory and overall, their 3rd victory in the tournament.

Dillisara Dhamala was rightly awarded the Player of the Match for her impactful all-round contributions, returning with match figures (4-1-10-3) with the ball and knocking off the target 12 (5 balls), guiding her side to a thumping 10-wicket win over USA.
