It’s a piece of good news for cricket fans as they will be getting to watch yet another cricket-based documentary series. After Australian cricketer Ellyse Perry’s docu-series INSIGHT, it is now the Southern Stars’ behind-the-scenes that the fans will be treated with.

Cricket Australia has released a documentary series on the Australian women’s cricket team which will show what went into their Ashes victory of 2019. The multi-format Women’s Ashes series which was held in England this year, saw Australia winning over their England counterparts. Australia dominated the series losing only one T20I match and drawing the one-off test. They had a clean sweep over England in the one-day internationals. Australia won the Ashes by accumulating 12 points while England gained 4. Ellyse Perry was declared as the Player of the Series.

The documentary which is titled ‘Beyond the Boundary – Inside our Ashes triumph’ will be a two episodic series airing on the Seven Network. The first episode has already been premiered on television on Channel 7 on 28th November. The next episode will air on December 5.

Much goes into a successful series campaign than what appears on the outside. This documentary will have the behind-the-scenes videos of the Aussie changing room and will show what the players went through during the Ashes.

The Australia Women’s Cricket team shared a look of the series on their Instagram handle. The short video shows how the players pass the time in the ‘waiting game’, the duration in which rain stops play or when they have to wait for their chance of batting.

The current Australian women’s team is one of the most successful cricket teams. It will be really interesting to watch the inside stories from the 2019 Ashes series. The first episode of the documentary is also available on the official website of the Seven Network.
