Sana Mir has recently announced that she has decided to take a break from all forms of international cricket participation as she wants take rest and re-evaluate her future endeavors and objectives. She won’t be available for upcoming series against England.
“I have decided to take a break from international cricket and, as such, will not be available for selection for next month’s series against England. I will utilize this time to plan and reset my future objectives and targets. My best wishes will remain with the Pakistan national women’s team in the series against England and I am sure they’ll produce their best cricket,” Sana said in an official statement.
Sana Mir, 33, last made her presence in the series against Bangladesh earlier this month. Sana made her debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka. Since then she has made Pakistan proud in every possible way and has lead the game with the best of spirits. She has played 120 ODIs and 106 T20Is for Pakistan. She has managed to take 151 ODI wickets and has grabbed 89 wickets in T20I’s.
Pakistan is now set to take on England in three ODIs and as many T20Is. The first ODI will be played on December 9 while the T20I series will commence from December 17.
