After the resounding success of the inaugural Women’s T20 Blast Finals Day this year, where Surrey lifted the title in front of a record county T20 crowd, the Kia Oval will reprise hosting duties. Importantly, the women’s tournament will expand to nine teams in 2026 with Yorkshire joining the mix, and the Finals Day will now feature four teams, raising the stakes and ensuring a packed schedule of knockout cricket.

Organisers have confirmed that both the men’s and women’s editions will adopt a revised structure from 2026. The men’s competition returns to its roots with three groups of six counties to emphasise historic rivalries. For the first time, all fixtures, including the block of 12 group-stage matches and knockout phases, have been streamlined, ensuring seamless progression into the iconic Finals Days in mid-July.

The scheduling of the women’s Finals Day as a standalone Friday event ahead of the men’s showpiece underlines the ECB’s commitment to sustaining the rapid growth of the women’s domestic game. With Yorkshire’s addition and the expansion to a four-team Finals Day, the stage is set for an even bigger celebration of women’s T20 cricket, building on the platform created by Surrey’s landmark triumph earlier this summer.
