For the final match of the series, Team India embarked on a train journey from London to Newcastle. Documenting the final travel day of the England tour, BCCI Women shared a video on X, showcasing Team India’s train journey from London to Newcastle ahead of the series decider.

The bowling coach, Aavishkar Salvi, mentioned he was feeling good, travelling on a comfortable train. Sitting beside him, fielding coach Munish Bali playfully teased, claiming Salvi was lying and that he was actually just feeling tired. Bali shared that Salvi had mentioned they spend less time at home, less time at the hotel, and far more time on the bus.

The fielding coach further shared, “As soon as we arrived, we clicked a picture wearing our glasses. We are having a great time, and the team is playing really well. It feels amazing when the players are out there on the field.”

All-rounder Sneh Rana said, “Everyone has travelled very comfortably, and we didn’t even realise the length of the journey because it was so smooth.” She further mentioned the squad did the bus journey, and today it’s the train journey. “The travel has been amazing.”

Wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh, reflecting on the journey, said, “This is the last travel, and everyone will be separated after the tour. So, it will be a memory of this tour.”

The players, along with the support staff, were seen engaging in various activities during the journey. Some were listening to music while enjoying the scenic English countryside, while others were reading or watching media content on their iPads. A few, like Deepti and some of the support staff, were even spotted playing games like Ludo.

The team physiotherapist, Akansha Satyavanshi, said, “Every travel day was a memorable day for us, like Jemi’s guitar day and Harsha’s barista day. Every travel day has been a very good memorable day for us.”

She further added that when they started, it was 35 days. “We didn’t realise how it would unfold. Now that every day has passed, we didn’t even realise how quickly the days flew by.”

Now, as Team India prepares to take on the hosts at Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street, they will look to move past the loss at Lord’s, play positive cricket, and aim to win the decider, ending their England tour on a high note. Meanwhile, England will also look to take the trophy home and end on a positive note after losing the T20I series, hoping to find their rhythm before the World Cup begins.
