Mair, a 21-year-old seamer, made her international debut in February this year against India. She was offered a central contract by New Zealand earlier this year. She has featured in three one-day internationals and three T20Is until now.
Mair not only impressed with her bowling contribution but also scored a handful runs with her batting. She smashed 33 runs off 16 balls including two fours and three sixes. The match was between her side Hawke’s Bay and Taranaki at the Whanganui’s Victoria Park. Taranaki’s were to chase 264 in order to win but were surrendered soon and all the credit to Mair’s wicket thrashing deliveries, as Hawke’s Bay won that match comfortably.
