The T20I series of the Zimbabwe Women Tour of New Zealand began with domination from the hosts outshined Zimbabwe in back-to-back T20Is by commanding performances to seal the three match T20I series with one game still to play.

In the first T20I, New Zealand Women piled up a massive 202/1 in their 20 overs, courtesy to skipper Amelia Kerr’s maiden T20I ton (101*) and Isabella Gaze’s 66*. Zimbabwe Women found the chase challenging and were restricted to 110/4 in their allotted overs, handing New Zealand a comprehensive 92-run victory.
The second T20I followed a similar script. New Zealand Women once again dominated with the bat, posting an imposing 196/1 in 20 overs. It again was Isabella Gaze (85*) and Amelia Kerr (82) leading the charge. Their bowlers never let Zimbabwe’s batting unit get the momentum, bundling them out for just 86 runs in 18.3 overs. The result was a massive 110-run win, as the hosts sealed the T20I series 2-0.
With the series already in their pocket, New Zealand will now aim for a clean sweep in the third T20I. Zimbabwe Women, on the other hand, will look to regroup and bounce back with a stronger performance to end the T20 leg on a positive note.
