Amelia Kerr:

Debbie Hockley Medal, Women’s ODI Player of the Year, Women’s T20I Player of the Year, Super Smash Women’s Player of the Year

Amelia Kerr’s remarkable consistency and standout performances across the year made her the deserved recipient of the prestigious Debbie Hockley Medal for the White Ferns. Kerr claimed her third Debbie Hockley Medal in recognition of her exceptional contributions for the national team and domestically with the Wellington Blaze, who triumphed in the Dream11 Super Smash championship. Her consistency and dominance on the field were key to her success, cementing her status as one of the most influential players in both formats.

Instrumental in guiding New Zealand to the victorious podium at the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, Kerr delivered standout performances that earned her both the Player of the Final and Player of the Tournament awards. Her monumental year was further recognized on the world stage, where she claimed the prestigious Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year and was also named the ICC Women’s T20I Player of the Year.

Back in New Zealand, Kerr dominated the domestic scene as well, securing the Women’s ODI Player of the Year award after taking 14 wickets and averaging 33 with the bat. She also bagged the Women’s T20I Player of the Year accolade. Her all-round brilliance in the Super Smash, where she amassed 441 runs and took 15 wickets, saw her crowned Women’s Player of the Year in that competition too.

Women’s Domestic Player of the Year, Phyl Blackler Cup (women’s domestic bowling)

Eden Carson enjoyed a thunderous domestic season, which earned her the Women’s Domestic Player of the Year award for 2024/25. She led the charge for Otago Sparks in the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield, where she claimed 22 wickets, but saved her best for the last with the bat by producing an innings of 59 runs to secure the championship victory over the Auckland Hearts. She was also in brilliant form in the Women’s Super Smash Tournament, achieving 18 wickets in 11 innings at an average of 15.38.

Maddy Green:

Ruth Martin Cup

Batter Maddy Green was named the winner of the Ruth Martin Cup, following a great run of form with the bat during 2024/25. She performed in scintillating fashion during the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield and finished with an incredible tally of 698 runs, including three centuries with consistent and classy performances. In the Super Smash tournament, Green finished as the fifth highest run-getter, with an impressive total of 269 runs from 9 innings at an average of 33.62 and the best score of unbeaten 57.
