The Namibian women’s team, led by skipper Sune Wittmann, was recently involved in the Women’s T20 Quadrangular Series, which involved Nepal, Hong Kong, and Uganda last month. The hosts Uganda were crowned as the champions of the series as they defeated the Sune Wittman-led side in the final by 8 wickets.

Yasmeen Khan was the leading run-scorer for her side and the 4th highest run-scorer of the series with 108 runs at an average of 15.42 in seven innings with the bat for her side in the series.
Mekelaye Mwatile was the leading wicket-taker for her side and the joint 3rd highest wicket-taker of the series with 8 wickets at an average of 11.75 and an economy of 5.22 in six innings with the ball, alongside her teammate Wilka Mwatile and Uganda’s Sarah Akiteng, and Iswori Bist from Nepal.
In their next assignment, Namibia will host Uganda for a bilateral series that includes a six-match T20I series from 8th–15th April 2025. The home side, Namibia has announced their squad for the upcoming series, retaining the same squad that took field in the Quadrangular series.
