As the month of March gets underway, we are steadily heading to another marquee ICC event as India will host the 13th edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in October 2025. Having hosted the tournament three times, India will aim to win their maiden world title as well.

Australia are the reigning champions who won their record 7th title in 2022. However, before the main tournament gets rolling, Pakistan will host the six-team Women’s 50-over World Cup qualifiers from the later part of March onwards.
On Monday, a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official affirmed that crucial talks are underway with the ICC to finalize the tournament’s schedule and venues. The six teams participating in the event are Pakistan, Scotland, Ireland, Bangladesh, Thailand, and the West Indies.
The official stated that Karachi, Multan, and Faisalabad are being evaluated as potential locations, considering that the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to commence on April 11. The official expressed that hosting another ICC event soon after the ICC Champions Trophy is a significant win for them.
“It is a big boost for us that soon after the ICC Champions Trophy we are getting ready to host another ICC event,” the official said.
Pakistan will be at the helm hosting an ICC women’s multi-team event for the first time in history, after successfully hosting the Men’s Champions Trophy in the present time.
The World Cup Qualifiers turn out to be a crucial mini tournament, with reckoning teams clashing to book their spot in the all-important tournament later this year.
The participating teams would like to unleash their best in the competition before wrangling with the heavyweights at the chief event.
